ADempiere or ADempiere ERP is a free open-source enterprise resource planning (ERP) application.
Product history
ADempiere began as Compiere, another open-source ERP solution. However, a disagreement arose between Compiere's developer community and its corporate sponsor concerning the greater emphasis on the open source nature of the project rather than the community nature of the project.[2] This disagreement ultimately led to the creation of ADempiere as a fork of Compiere.[3] The ADempiere project was officially started at SourceForge on September 9, 2006.[4]
In July 2010 the ADempiere project was listed as one of the top two most active projects on SourceForge.[5]
Features
The main features of ADempiere include[6]:
- account processing in multiple currencies
 - audit trail
 - performance analysis
 - reporting
 - bill of materials

 - production management
