Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is a public research university located in Richmond, Virginia, United States. The university is organized into 13 schools and one college offering 62 bachelor’s, 72 master’s, 41 doctoral, 47 post-baccalaureate and post-master’s certificate, and three first-professional degree programs.[1] VCU is classified as a research university with very high research activity by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.[2] The university enrolled more than 31,000 students, and it ranked 164 among all national universities and 87 among "Top Public Schools" according to U.S. News & World Report's 2016 rankings.[3]
