The ACIL (American Council of Independent Laboratories) is a trade association "representing independent, commercial, scientific, and engineering firms."[1]
The association describes its objectives as such[1]:
"To enhance members' success by:

- promoting quality, ethics, independence, objectivity, and free enterprise."
