Middle Tennessee State University, commonly abbreviated as MTSU or MT, is a comprehensive coeducational public university in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Founded in 1911 as a normal school, the university is composed of eight undergraduate colleges as well as a college of graduate studies, together offering more than 80 majors/degree programs through over 35 departments. The university enrolled more than 22,500 students according to U.S. News & World Report's 2016 rankings.[1]

Nursing informatics
The school used to have a nursing informatics program (M.S.N. and certificate program) but shut it down in Spring 2014 due to lack of staff.
