Introduction
LabLynx enables you to add and edit chemical storage information.
System administrators use LabLynx ELab to manage chemical storage information, including stored chemical types.
Adding or editing chemical storage information
The Chemical Storage List screen displays chemical storage information currently defined in the system:
1. From the Chemical Storage List, select a chemical name or click New. The system will display the Chemicals screen:
2. Complete the fields of the Chemicals area. Fields in bold are required. The various fields are explained below:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Chemical Name | This is the user-defined value for the chemical name. |
| Other Name | This is the user-defined value for any additional name for the chemical. |
| CAS | Type the CAS (chemical abstract number). |
| NFPAID | Type the code (this defines the NFPA hazard type). |
3. When you are finished, click Save and then Done.
