Using the licensed ComponentOne Chart control in iStudio
To use the licensed version of the ComponentOne Chart control, you should use iStudio 1.107 or later. Also, you will need to use the report file (see "Additional files" section below) as a template to start a new report with a chart. The ComponentOne licensing software will behave in this manner:
- If you open an .rpx file that has an evaluation version of the control, iStudio and the ComponentOne chart control compiled with iStudio will forever think you have an unlicensed version of the control. This happens even when you close iStudio and open it back up and create a new report.
- For some reason, opening a report that has an unlicensed control will prevent the licensed control from ever working again unless you open a report that has a valid license control.
- By opening a report that has a valid license control, you can create all the charts you want inside that report and just rename the report. The reason is there is a license code and a licensed control saved in the report that has a valid license control.
